All is right!

My family came home!  I sat on the couch having a little nap with Jack and I heard some people outside.  Naturally, a gave them a bark or two to let them know that this house had not only been taken, but that is had a ferocious protector as well.

In came the family.  I have never been happier than when I saw them.  I wiggled, I stomped, I danced.  It was pure rapture.  They had stuff, which I nosed into,  clothes, which I rooted through, and laps, which I promptly sat in.

I cannot remember a happier day.  That night we all snuggled in bed and I made sure to give everyone a solid licking, then made sure the give their pillows a solid licking, then myself a solid licking just to make sure.

I slept better than I had in years.

Everyone is gone…

So, day 342,388,221 of my isolation.

The lady comes by once every few years, but its not the same.  I miss my family.

I have a nice nest of clothes on the floor that still smells a little like them, but its not the same.  I miss my family.

Greebo will still play once in a while, but its not the same.

Was I a bad dog?  Did I bark too much?

Where did they go?
